Katie Koehnke - President/director of education
Katie Koehnke is one of the original founding members of Encore! Theatre, and is currently serving on the board as president. She has been the stage manger, props manager, set manager, and costume manger for many plays inside and out of Encore!, including "The Importance of Being Earnest," "A Christmas Carol," the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Galas, "Anne of Green Gables," and "Peter Pan and Wendy." She also directed the play "Pygmalion" in fall 2014. Katie is a graduate from The New Mexico School Of Natural Therapeutics. She is an avid yarn enthusiast who loves to spend many hours illuminating her favorite quotes, and on the weekend, she likes to ask her dog which Netflix movie they should watch next.
Seriah Getty - Vice president/director of marketing & media
Seriah Getty is now entering her fifth season working with Encore! Theatre whether backstage or onstage and especially loves bursting into spontaneous musical numbers. She has been blessed to act with other students in the shows "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair," "Peter Pan and Wendy," two Galas, and working/training others backstage as head Makeup Artist on many others, including "Anne of Green Gables," "Treasure Island," and "A Tale of Two Cities." She prays that the company will continue to grow for many years to come. In her spare time, she can be found writing poetry, snuggling cats, drinking tea and reading Sherlock Holmes, pounding on her typewriter, directing and acting in friend's movies, or pursuing a career in writing.
Lizzie Schneider - Director of HOSPITALITY
Lizzie Schneider is excited to enter her sixth season with Encore! as the Director of Hospitality on the board. She is a college sophomore this year with a passion and drive to major in Theatre. She made her Encore! debut in “A Christmas Carol” in 2012, and since then has done onstage work in such shows as "The Silver Chair," "It’s a Wonderful Life," "Treasure Island," "Spotlight," and in three of the five Encore! Gala performances. In addition to acting and singing Lizzie co-directed the show "Peter Pan and Wendy." Lizzie is proud of the work that Encore! does and hopes to be involved onstage and behind the scenes with Encore! Theatre for many years to come. “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
Lara-Grace Gourlay - Treasurer
Lara-Grace Gourlay is native of North Carolina and is currently studying as a Sophomore at UNM to pursue her degree in nursing. She discovered Encore! Theatre on one of her visits to Albuquerque many years ago and has enjoyed being involved in many of Encore!'s productions, such as helping with costumes and prop design for The 3rd and 4th Annual Cabaret and Galas; running front of house for "Spotlight: An Encore! Musical," and helping with costumes for"Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe." Lara is fascinated in the creative arts and has taken classes in stage makeup / design, designs her own costumes, and has helped in several local photo-shoots. She is an avid reader and lover of all things crafty, who can often be found exploring outside, surrounded by animals, or camping out inside the nearest Hobby Lobby. Lara is also secretly a wizard.
Zoe White - Secretary
Zoe White, a freshman at CNM, is an enthusiastic soul with a passion for the arts and language. In addition to taking two semesters of dual-enrollment at CNM, she is considering going into cosmetology or linguistics. Zoe has been involved in Encore! Theatre for many years, acting in shows like “A Christmas Carol,” “Pygmalion,” “Treasure Island,” “Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe,” and several Galas. Her interest in makeup and hairstyling led her to become involved backstage as well, crewing for the shows “Treasure Island,” “A Tale of Two Cities,” and leading as the head hair and makeup designer for “Peter Pan and Wendy.” Zoe’s hobbies include anything artsy: Drawing, sculpting, felting, or experimenting with makeup. She also loves spoiling her dogs and hanging out with her mom.
